Real Madrid and Leganes met on Friday in a pre-season friendly behind closed doors. Xabi Alonso's side defeated Paco Lopez's Leganes.

News agency EFE reported that Real Madrid secured a 4-1 victory over Leganes in the closed-door training match, after initially falling behind to the visitors. Sule had put the Pepineros ahead, but goals from Huijsen, Militao, young Pitarch, and Brahim Diaz completed the turnaround and sealed a comfortable win for the Madrid side.

Real's starting XI featured Courtois; Carvajal, Asensio, Huijsen, Carreras; Ceballos, Valverde, Brahim; Vinicius, Mbappe and Gonzalo. Leganes lined up with: San Roman, Macazaga, Lolo Aguilar, Imogene, Huecas; Roberto Lopez, Guirao, Andres Campos, Pauwels; Sule and Siame.

The match, played at the Ciudad Deportiva de Valdebebas, added to Friday's schedule, which also included another fixture: Real Madrid Castilla faced Andorra in a full pre-season friendly, with Alvaro Arbeloa's side losing 3-1.

For the first team, the encounter against Leganes followed a gym session and was played over two 45-minute halves.

On August 12, Real Madrid will play their sole open pre-season friendly against WSG Tirol, at the Tivoli Stadion in Innsbruck, at 19:00 CEST (17:00 GMT), to be broadcast on the club's official channels.

Until then, Xabi Alonso's squad will continue their preparation for the start of the La Liga season on August 19 against Osasuna. A rest day is scheduled for Saturday, followed by a double session on Sunday.
