Leeds United have made another move in the winter transfer window. After announcing earlier in the week the signing of Weston McKennie from Juventus, they made another one official on Tuesday.

The player is defender Diogo Monteiro. The player joins the Premier League from Servette of the Swiss League. The young talent of the transalpine team makes the leap to the English top-flight.

At the age of 18, the defender joins the British club. In his case, due to his young age, the Portuguese will join the U21 team, which is fighting for promotion to Premier League 2 Division Two.

He was the youngest player to make his debut in Swiss competition. He did so at the age of 16 in the 2020-21 campaign. Since his first-team debut, the centre-back has made a total of seven official appearances.
