Allegri’s Milan failed to break the balance of Ivan Juric’s Atalanta and had to settle for a 1-1 draw in Bergamo. After an early goal from Samuele Ricci, Ademola Lookman levelled the score, marking yet another stalemate for both sides this season.

Despite remaining, alongside Bayern Munich, among the few unbeaten teams in Europe’s top leagues, Atalanta could not end their run of draws, now at five consecutive and seven overall, highlighting both their defensive solidity and difficulty in closing out games.

Milan took the lead after just four minutes: from a corner, the Atalanta defence cleared, but Ricci struck first-time from the edge of the area, slotting the ball into the net with a slight deflection off Ederson. It was the Italian midfielder’s first goal in Rossoneri colours.

Atalanta responded immediately. From a corner, Hien headed narrowly wide, and later Ederson fired a left-footed shot from the edge of the area, which Maignan brilliantly saved in two attempts, keeping the score level until the 35th minute.

The equaliser came from Ademola Lookman, who met a perfect through ball from Pasalic, controlled it, and sent a precise left-footed strike under the crossbar, igniting the home crowd. In the second half, Rafa Leao was replaced by Nkunku, but despite multiple substitutions from both sides, the score remained unchanged.

The game’s best late chance fell to Zappacosta five minutes from time. The Italian winger broke free on the flank, reached the edge of the area, and fired a right-footed shot, but Maignan produced an outstanding save to deny Milan a second goal. The Rossoneri remain second, three points behind leaders Napoli, while Atalanta hold steady in seventh place.
